Each student will thoroughly understand how to make a fire in any environment they find themselves in after this class. The class will begin with finding the proper materials and technique for making the "bow drill kit" and what tinder works best. After each student has gathered their materials then we will demonstrate each method and students will begin making their own kits. We feel it is very important that each person learns how to make fire strictly from nature if ever caught in a survival situation without modern tools.
After each student has successfully carved and performed the various fire making methods, then we will move on to wilderness water procurement. Water is one of the most important things to have in a survival situation and you will learn how to find it , how to filter it and how to heat it without modern equipment .
